As the next generation of entrepreneurs and investors continue to engage with social & environmental issues, the demand for conscious investment opportunities continues to grow.
After the resounding success of its 1st cohort, startAD at NYU Abu Dhabi and VentureSouq joined forces once again with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Wa’ed from ARAMCO, and the United States Mission to the UAE to empower the next generation of mission-driven stakeholders from the GCC.
The Conscious Investor Fellowship is the first pan-regional impact investor program for GCC-based private, corporate, government, and family office investors. The fellowship took place between September - November 2021 with optional pre-fellowship sessions in August and monthly masterclasses in December 2021.
Fellows also became a part of the 7th Annual Angel Rising Investor Education Symposium, which took place in March 2022. Angel Rising has grown to be a leading voice demystifying the startup investing landscape, and ultimately inspiring more stakeholders to fuel greater innovation in the GCC and beyond.
Next year, the Angel Rising symposium will return, shifting its focus on the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC) COP 28 being hosted in the UAE next year. startAD investor programs and Angel Rising will explore the themes of Climate Tech
