Our 2021 cohort will begin soon. You can register your interest to be part of the 2021 CIF program

As the next generation of entrepreneurs and investors continue to engage with social & environmental issues, the demand for conscious investment opportunities continues to grow. startAD, VentureSouq & KAUST joined forces again to launch the second pan-regional 8-week investor fellowship on the impact space for GCC-based young professionals and family offices that will empower the next generation of mission-driven investors fueling emerging ventures using technology for meaningful change. 

The Conscious Investor Fellowship requires participants to attend our weekly sessions which feature some of the most credible and inspiring voices worldwide. The classes take place one evening a week, for up to two hours and include 3 assignments that will help refine your personal investment strategy. The fellowship will take place between September - November 2021 with optional pre-fellowship sessions in August and monthly masterclasses that will begin in December 2021

Core Modules
1. Introduction to conscious investing Provides the basic context for attendees of what conscious investing is about and how they can participate in this space
2. Investment Strategies Addresses strategies for a successful approach to investing into early-stage tech-enabled mission-driven ventures
3. Due Diligence Tackles the fundamentals of due diligence in this space: market, business, financial
4. Legal & Term Sheets Deep dive into the main investment documents & clauses to help investors succeed in their negotiations
5. Valuations Demonstrate valuation approaches in early-stage impact deals & their implications
6. Impact Measurement Tackles different approaches to impact measurement
7. Trends Interactive session on global trends in the impact investment sector
8. Portfolio Management Addresses how to manage your overall portfolio and how investors can support startups
Elective Masterclasses on Financial Inclusion, HealthTech, EnvironmentalTech, EdTech, AgTech and FoodTech

 

This program is for you if:
  • You represent personal, or family office funding. Or you are a part of a corporate or government funding department investing into technology or social impact startups
  • You have an appetite for conscious or impact investments, with a keen desire for education

  • You're eager to grow the ecosystem via strategic introductions to mission- driven entrepreneurs

  • You have a strong desire to boost the ecosystem through mentorship and funding 

  • Ideally made at least one angel investment (not mandatory)

  • Ability to convert knowledge into action -  beyond the fellowship

Our Timeline

The Conscious Investor Fellowship requires participants to attend our weekly masterclass sessions which feature some of the most credible and inspiring voices worldwide. The classes take place one evening a week, for up to two hours between September 22 - Nov 18, 2021. Fellows selection will be in July.
